Professional Activities
As an attorney, Mr. Forester is a member of the Oregon Bar and had been admitted in New York, Missouri, and Massachusetts. In Oregon he participates on the Alternative Dispute Resolution, Environment, Government Law, Real Estate and Land Use Sections of the Oregon Bar.
- He is a member of the American Planning Association (Oregon Chapter), and former member of the League of Oregon Cities and Oregon Association of Redevelopment Agencies, and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the American Academy of Sciences where he served on the Access Management Committee's Right of Way sub-committee.
- He has been active on City Club's Government and Taxation and Land Use Committees and has volunteered on LCDC's Urban Growth Management Task Force.
- He is also a member of the Oregon Mediation Association and Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) and its Environment and Public Policy Section.
- He has qualified for DLCD's Public Policy Mediation Panel of mediators, and the Public Policy Panels of Oregon and Washington, the Oregon Court of Appeals Mediation Panel, Oregon Department Justice, and U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution Mediator's list and the Multnomah County Circuit Court Arbitration list.
